Sintesi anatomica is a outright summary of the artist’s anatomical manual, Anatomia parallela, personally produced by the artist at the beginning of her career. Sissi summarized her substantial anatomical research and her glossology within the pages of this book entirely produced in typography through a scanning process. Each page is composed on paper with stamps, images, and collages. Sintesi anatomica is a reading, in a condensed form, of the organism and its functions, that aims to analyze the complex relationship between interiority and exteriority. With this book, made of imaginary anatomical descriptions and images related to the human anatomical system, the artist built a coherent system of visual and linguistical codes that developed a parallel theory of the human body and its representation.
