SWIPE UP is an artist’s book created by the photographic series Metamondo.
It’s a project that investigates the limit -now exceeded- between the real world and the virtual world.
These are photographs of real modern urban landscapes to which, in post-production, are added elements characteristic of the web (a mouse pointer, a scrollbar, the Google search string etc...). The result is an ambiguous and confusing situation.

The book follows the same concept and is thought to be handled similarly to what we do when using a tablet. The (few) pages of text are arranged vertically in line with the cover, while the pages with the photographs are horizontal and are then flipped upwards to refer to the movement typical of digital instruments.
To invite to the change of sense of reading, between the pages of text and those of photos there is a page with the icon of rotation images.

The book is enriched by a dialogue between the author and the Franco-Argentine philosopher and psychoanalyst Miguel Benasayag, scholar of the relationship between human and technology and author, among others, of "Function or exist?" and "The tyranny of the algorithm".
