Return to sender

For two and a half years I picked addresses randomly from google maps. I sent to those addresses a handwritten letter like the one on the right here and a photograph I had taken. All in all I sent out 500 letters, all over the United Kingdom and some to the US.
Return to Sender, the book, was designed by design bureau Kummer & Herrman. It’s a 480 page, A5 size, hardcover book that can be previewed and ordered HERE A video of it can be seen HERE. Return to Sender has been shortlisted for the Aperture Photobook Awards, the winner of which will be announced on the November 15th at Paris Photo.
