Tucked inside a handmade wooden box, the second photobook of Spanish artist Carlos Alba explores the waves of changes surging through Europe. 'The Taste of the Wind' zooms in on Landskrona, the Swedish city with one of the highest proportion of asylum seekers per inhabitants.
Combining archival materials from the Museum of Landskrona with his photographs and interviews captured from his daily encounters, Alba draws connections between locals and foreigners, past and present. The book reflects upon complex themes of impermanence, borders and migration relevant to Europe and beyond.
The book is limited to a run of 500 signed and numbered copies.
