Leading figure of conceptual art, Giulio Paolini (Genova, 1940) has questioned himself, since the Sixties, about the essence of the artwork and its manifestation in the exhibition format. In Lugano, the cycle of works Mnemosine (Le Charmes de la Vie 1/9), 1981-90 is gathered for the first time at “Spazio -1 Collezione Giancarlo e Danna Olgiati”: a significantly sizeable display of stage settings, celebrating the figure of Mnemosyne, goddess of Memory and mother of the nine Muses.
