Ryan Stewart Nault is an artist currently based in Chicago, but originally from Michigan. His paintings often incorporate sculptural and everyday elements (t-shirts, plants, gloves), with a tonality akin to modern American painting, the likes of Edward Hopper et al, described by Ryan as harbouring the effects of ’domestic comfort’. This book collates a series of realistic paintings as well as abstract sketches based around ideas of solitary living and getting to know ones own surroundings.
