Here or elsewhere, how do we embrace a place we love? This is the question Kamil Zihnioglu asks himself as he travels through Corsica, meeting its inhabitants for nearly five years now. A press photographer in Paris, he decided in October 2020 to leave his city and move to the island. Thus began an impossible quest: to capture in images the identity of this territory and those who inhabit it. Like a mirror, the waters of the Mediterranean reflected his own face. "Who are you?" they seem to ask him. By setting aside his journalistic approach, he embarked on a new journey without a destination, one of exploring the feelings this island evokes. Far from expected clichés, he seeks sensitive traces to redraw an intimate and poetic map of Corsica. Intraccià is the fruit of this wandering, this love, and this inexplicable sense of belonging to a land that is not his own.
