It is not the geographical places scattered around the world that this exhibition considers relevant, as the artist herself claims, but the "figures" of choice and reference called in the field, such as the Water and the Tree, in the first instance, the Wire, Man and Nature, in the second. Their synesthetic modes of interaction are not secondary. The series of Improbabili Landscapes, started in 2006, aesthetically characterized by the sewing operation on the photographic print, initially by machine, then by hand, is preceded by collages, with fat pencil interventions, and the dramatic series In Memoriam, in diptychs or triptychs, printed from burnt negatives, in which photographs of forests destroyed by fire are juxtaposed with similar monochrome panels: pages of emptiness and silence.
