“With Roses Tatouées and through other artists’ work, I try to turn the journal into visual poetry. This twenty-third issue is dedicated to the night, to apparitions, and to ghosts. It pre- sents photographs taken in Paris many moons ago, in 1974, by the Swiss photographer and filmmaker Edo Bertoglio. They are part of a series shot in the City of Lights between 1973 and 1975. These images compose an abstract narrative, perhaps a strange film, a complicit impulse, like those two women in a car, their gaze fixed on the lens, and the night, always the night. Blue moon, now I’m no longer alone…” — Giasco Bertoli
