Founded in 1991 as a cultural association modelled on American non-profits and European Kunstvereins, Viafarini continues to serve as an extraordinary testing ground—often the first exhibition opportunity—for young emerging artists, many of whom later rise to international fame.
The rich volume Souvenir d’Italie - A Nonprofit Art Story—edited by Patrizia Brusarosco and Milovan Farronato, and published almost twenty years after the association’s debut—collects stories, documents, and never-before-published texts and images, as well as a section of special artists’ projects with works by:
Linda Fregni Nagler, Alberto Garutti, Armin Linke, Eva Marisaldi, Adrian Paci, Alessandro Pessoli, Cesare Pietroiusti, and Vedovamazzei.
