Spontaneous fragments of life.
Behind the glittering cover of Tchachachao lie moments of jubilation and freedom. Thibault Lévêque has crystallized them and recorded them in a full-page format, as if aiming to strip away anything that might seem superfluous. Like memories layering over one another in a hazy mind, these festive snapshots are scattered freely in an unapologetic spontaneity.
As memories unfold, a few wandering poems slip in here and there, embedded within the images or printed on transparent paper. This seemingly random sequence is also embodied in the book-object itself, which, lacking a binding, offers great flexibility. Like a travel notebook filled in as time goes by, the book opens flat. It thus immerses us all the more deeply in these fragments of life, sublimated by the eye of an experienced photographer.
