These pictures of Dungkhar were made while visiting home a few summer ago. Revisiting the photographs later, after he disappeared, led me to a rediscovery of a place I grew up in and had left — of a sustained engagement with space and a manifestation of relationship with my home and family.
The Tibetan word Dungkhar literally translates to a White Conch symbolizing awakening.
