Trapa Natans

A two-year project during which the photographer dedicated himself to capturing the ever-changing soul of the landscape surrounding Lake Muzzano. The result is a thorough investigation of the intricate relationship between human beings and nature.

Through the camera lens, Ponti managed to create a visual narrative that explores the complexity of the urban and natural landscape, highlighting the beauty and fragility of the environment that surrounds us. The focus is placed on the Water Chestnut – Trapa Natans – a plant that once thrived in the waters of Lake Muzzano but became extinct due to the lack of respect and care from the local community.
